Which is best Hilton (have points) to stay at in Tampa to be in walking distance to shops/reataurants? Also need restaurant recomandations.

If you want to be in walking distance, you should stay in Channelside. Most Channelside hotels also have shuttle services.

Or, you can stay near International Mall.

Too many places to eat unless you are more specific about your tastes.

FYI - if you are looking for some adult evening night life, my favorite place is Howl at the Moon in Channelside. It is a dualing piano bar. I am not a dancer and there is never a borning night here.

The Hilton Westshore Tampa is 2 miles from the airport and 5 miles from the port of Tampa. It is located between two shopping venues; Westshore Plaza Mall and International Plaza Mall.

There is also a Hilton Garden Inn Westshore as well. It is in the same general area as the above Hilton.

The International Plaza mall is more upscale than Westshore. It offers many, many different types of restuarants to choose from. Some are open late night and offer small scale entertainment.

There are also restaurants around this area too. One of our favorites is Leroy Selmons, best BBQ in Tampa IMHO. http://www.leeroyselmons.com/locations/store/1

Good luck.

:)
