Out of San Pedro, you would want Crowne Plaza or Doubletree.

Right. No hotel in or near LA would have a shuttle as it's about 40 miles away. You might want to consider taking SuperShuttle or PrimeTime Shuttle from LAX to a hotel in San Pedro or if you really want to stay in LA, from your hotel to the pier. The cheapest and best option is to go to San Pedro from LAX and stay there.

Nothing at all. I'd stay at either place, I just like the DT a little better.....:):):)

Have never used Doubletree, since my Priceline bargains always come from Crowne. Besides which, I get priority club points and usually an upgrade too.
