Fort Lauderdale hotels with one-bedroom suites

Hi all,

 

We will be cruising with our young son on RCI in January and leaving from Fort Lauderdale. We are researching hotels that offer one-bedroom suites for pre and post cruise and were hoping to get some recommendations.

 

We do not have a car so want the hotel to be in fairly close proximity to the port. Hotel doesn't need to be luxurious but don't want it to be a dump either! Just a clean, comfortable, well-priced place for a couple nights.

Any suggestions?

What about Embassy Suites?

Go over to the Florida departure boards-tons of great information and recommendations there. Since you will not have a car, also maybe check to see if any have free port shuttles.

The Embassy Suites has an indoor pool, is close to shopping (grocery, $, wine), a bunch of restaurants and only about 2 miles from the port. About a $10 taxi ride. It is a very central area for things to do.

Another vote for Embassy Suites. Stayed there 2x and loved it.
