pdmlynek Posted September 2, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2012 Princess,HAL,Disney ,NCL, Regent , Carnival, Celebrity ,Cruise West? , RCI and AMH.Basically all the major cruise lines That is true that pretty much all of the cruise lines go to Alaska, but some cruise lines have more ships then others. We sailed the first week of July 2012, and at that time I put a list of what ships are going to be there with us. Supposedly there were 27 ships, carrying up to 44140 passengers. Below is a list of cruise lines, ships, and max pax capacity; although how it will be next year will be different, but this gives you a snapshot of what a representative week in summer looks like: PRINCESS, 7 ships, with 11748 maximum passengers: Sapphire Princess (2670) Diamond Princess (2670) Golden Princess (2590) Star Princess (2590) Coral Princess (1970) Island Princess (1970) Sea Princess (1950) HOLLAND AMERICA, 7 ships, with 9872 maximum passengers: Oosterdam (1916) Westerdam (1916) Zuiderdam (1916) Zaandam (1432) Volendam (1432) Amsterdam (1380) Statendam (1260) CELEBRITY, 3 ships, with 6737 maximum passengers Infinity (2499) Millennium (2460) Century (1778) ROYAL CARIBBEAN, 2 ships, with 4937 maximum passengers Radiance of the Seas (2502) Rhapsody of the Seas (2435) NORWEGIAN, 2 ships, with 4770 maximum passengers Pearl (2394) Jewel (2376) CARNIVAL, 1 ship, with 2680 maximum passengers Spirit (2680) DISNEY, 1 ship, with 2400 maximum passengers Wonder (2400) REGENT SEVEN SEAS, 1 ship, with 490 maximum passengers Navigator (490) SILVER SEAS, 1 ship, with 382 maximum passengers Shadow (382) NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, 2 ships, with 124 maximum passengers Sealion (62) Seabird (62)

Krazy Kruizers Posted September 3, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2012 As you can see -- Princess and Holland America have the most ships in Alaska. Both cruise lines have a long history for Alaskan cruises and cruise tours. We love Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier. Tracy Arm is a hit and miss -- many times we did not get up close to the glacier. We have seen more calving in Hubbard Glacier than we have seen in Glacier Bay.
