wi fi and I pad

If you do some reading you will find lots of info here on the boards. Summary- if you are just reading, or playing games, and have turned off your wifi connections, no problem, no cost.

 

If you have your wifi on, you HAVE to go thru the ship's network, which has cost. Same with cell connection (3 or 4G), which can have tremendous cost for data downloading or cell connection.

 

There are data plans for your wifi access. HAL seems to be currently revising and expanding these, but an example would be 250 minutes for $100, plus a $3.95 setup charge, and a 20 or 30 minute bonus for signing up the first day.
