Room Service for Dinner

In AquaClass or Suite cabins may passengers order dinner from Blu and/or the MDR dinner menu?

May all passengers order from the MDR menu in the evening? Lunch? Breakfast?

Is a $5 tip appropriate per person for these meals, or $10 pp for dinner?

I'll raise my glass to all posters. Thank you.

Passengers staying in any cabin can order dinner from the MDR any evening at no charge. Breakfast and lunch room service can only be the regular room service menu, but dinner can be that evening's MDR menu. Blu's menu is not available as room service for any stateroom even Aqua Class.

Your suggested tip will be well-received.

Thanks for the good news that balcony dining is an option for port days and formal nights if we prefer to stay in.

It's also my understanding that when you order room service dinner off the MDR menu it all comes at the same time, not course by course.
Yes, but the dishes are covered so the hot foods stay hot and the cold foods stay cold.

If you like, you can order appetizers from room service separately in advance, providing plenty of time to finish them before the dinner arrives.

When the food is delivered, we ask them to leave the tray on the coffee table inside the cabin. Then we carry each course out to the balcony and uncover it as we are ready for it.

If you order an ice-cream type dessert, you can put it inside the fridge and it will be fine for at least an hour, but if you are having dinner at six and won't want the ice-cream until 10, then that would probably not be the best way to order it.

Sometimes we order dessert separately later, or go up to the buffet area later for ice-cream.

When staying in a suite, your butler will serve the meal to you course by course if you like, or you can serve yourself if you would prefer not to have the butler around during your dinner.
