Emtbsam Posted September 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 11, 2012 It has possibilities! Does it make any interesting stops between Hawaii and New Zealand?
dougburns Posted September 11, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2012 Got our copy yesterday too. Didn't look very interesting too me; just more of the same and no segment identifications. Sorry Wes, but I tossed it!
philipb Posted September 11, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 11, 2012 Hmmm. This sounds like 'more of the same'. SS should follow the example of Seabourn and make each World Cruise significantly different from its predecessor.
Wellseasoned Posted September 12, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted September 12, 2012 Yes, a lot of it is very familiar, but there are a few new twists. There are two ports in Papua New Guinea, two overnights in Yangon (Rangoon) Myanmar (Burma). Two overnights in Hong Kong. Overnight in Shanghai. They say that they have responded to Venetian members desires on the questionaire they sent about wishes for a world cruise. There are 12 overnights and some late night departures. There is a complimentary overnight trip to Angkor Wat and special things in Hong Kong and Istanbul. We won't do it, but we will be interested in the segments which will appear later. A SS agent told me that the big suites are almost all reserved already, three silvers left. You can hold any suite for $2000 per person, cancel or pay full deposit when they publish the prices, whenever that will be.

Same old same old as someone above pointed out. Not even the segments would interest me to be honest. Seabourn is set to announce in less than a week the World Cruise for the Sojourn. CanadianKate Posted September 12, 2012 #9 Share Posted September 12, 2012 Funny, I'm thrilled. Have had to cancel our reservation for the 1st two segments of 2013, so now can do the cruise in 2014 without having to switch over to Crystal (who is running something similar at the same time.)
