Best shuttle service from EWR to Downtown Manhattan?

I need a shuttle from EWR to Downtown Manhattan (Financial District) and can't remember the name of the shuttle we used before. I have had hit or miss service from Super Shuttle so would like something else. Any suggestions from those who have used the services some? I think we've used Airlink from another airport. Any other suggestions are welcome as well. Marriott says $43 for a taxi on their website but I'm told it would be double that.

In NY/NJ, it's best to avoid shuttle services like Super Shuttle. They provide poor service.

 

In my opinion your best bet would be to book a car service such as Dial 7, http://www.dial7.com or Carmel, http://www.carmellimo.com . The cost should be about $45-50 plus tolls and tip.
