Oasis Secrets Please

Recommended Posts

This isn't much of a secret but we got the most out of our cruise because of the prepping I did before we went. I won't say I memorized the ship but I got a really good feel for where everything was before we went. Oasis is so large that you could spend half your cruise just trying to find things. I have been on smaller ships where I was confused more than on this ship, partly because it is very well laid out but also because I did my homework.

The lookout above the bridge can be accessed via the port side corridor all the way forward. Also, there is a great place to escape the crowds and a great view (with chairs) at the stern on deck 5.

You beat me to it.

Deck 14, port side, you have to go through the cabin passageway to get there. However, before 8 AM, the door to the outside will be locked. But, you can pry your fingers into it and force it open.

Deck 5 aft is also great, especially for a docking.

Really good advice. To help with this prep,

1. most of the eating venues are located in the aft (back) of the ship; exception is the Solarium Bistro. It is located in the forward of deck 15. Deck 8 eating venues are easily available from forward or aft.

2. the entertainment is in the forward (front). The Opal Theater (entrances on decks 4 & 5); Comedy Club, Studio B (Ice Skating), Blaze, Jazz Club, and an entrance to the casino are all on deck 4; exception for aft entertainment is the Aqua Theater at the end of the Boardwalk on deck 6.

To me this is the easiest way to think of things on the Oasis or Allure. Eating in aft and entertainment in forward of the ship. Hope this helps.
