The location of the lifeboats should not be a factor in you enjoyment of your balcony.

This class of ship, Oasis and Allure, are designed in such a way that makes the preferred side to dock is the starboard side (right side).

However, there are times it needs do do it the opposite direction. You have no way of knowing beforehand when that might happen.

I agree with this. Usually the only time the Oasis/Allure dock with the port side to the pier is if some maintenance needs to be performed on that side of the ship from the pier or the ship needs to do training on or conduct lifeboat drills for the starboard side life boats.
