When should I book an excursion?

How soon in advance should I book an excursion? We are sailing 7/31/05 on Carnival's Miracle. Thanks.

I would go ahead and book it now. If you are not using Carnival's excursion, you might find that some of the other companies fill up quickly, especially if there are several ships in port that day. We booked in February for our cruise that goes out this Sunday!

I ususally book as soon the the cruise line has them available online to purchase. Easy to do. This way not only is it paid for before you go, you are confirmed your tour is available by not waiting until the last minutes on the cruise itself. Depending on the popularity of the tour a lot of them book up even before the cruise sails!! Have fun!!
