New Years Eve in Galveston

Will be sailing on the Carnival Triumph Dec. 27th Looking for a nice resort for a day before and New Year's Eve in Galveston. Never been to Galveston before. What could I anticipate as far as a celebrating New Year's Eve. Don't know much about Galveston, and would appreciate any help anyone could give. Thanks in advance for any info.

San Luis Hotel will have more activities and better bar party scene and wonderful heated pool area and Gulf Beach front

Galvez is on Gulf Beach front

Harbor House on port by ships

Moody Gardens on bay

 

Can't go wrong with any of these for hotel but unaware of activites
