Adriatic Explorer and Central Med in October

Recommended Posts

Looking at 2 weeks mid October next year Adriatic Explorer plus Central Med. Malta, Sicily, Naple and Rome.

Delyth is worried about weather at that time of year.

Any advice from others that have done similar at this time of year please.

Didn't take long before you were planning another one did it! :D :D

Weather wise, October is sometimes mixed. It will still be warm, but you'll probably experience some rain, possibly. If you wanted to do the Adriatic Explorer again, but were worried about the weather, I'd probably say that Pearls of the Aegean itinerary would give you a bit more of a guarantee weather wise.

LOL No, we were looking in brochure Friday afternoon after getting back.

Funnily enough I've just been looking at doing them a week earlier which is the combo you suggested.

Basically we have done all the ports on both itineraries that go with Adriatic Explorer apart from Crete on P.O.A. and Malta on the other. So as long as we do Adriatic Explorer again either combo would suit.

Thanks for help

You still wouldn't get the light morning sail-ins though Berwyn ;);)

We did the Aegean in early October a couple of years ago and the weather was not very good at all. Not shorts weather definitely! Very rough one night too. Wet at times. We thought the eastern end of the Med would be good at that time of year, but wouldn't risk it again!

No I can have a lie in this time round Jules :D zzzzzzz

Thanks Mary, but it's as much about going back on the ship as well as the itineraries and time of year we can get away. We've done western Med twice in April and gone from rough to hot and sunny and were fine.

We did a repo cruise which included all those ports but not the Adriatic. It was at the end of October and the weather was perfect.
