magpieman Posted October 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2012 I've had an email from P&O offering me a guided tour of a ship and a three course lunch for £25 pp, I rather fancy this but it doesn't mention parking arrangements, any one been on one of these? Is there a car park nearby?
terry99 Posted October 1, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2012 I went on one of these. A good way to see a ship that you haven't been on. We were directed to a car park right opposite the ship (no charge). You usually get a voucher for £25 for a future cruise booking. Terry

simonpjd Posted October 2, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2012 That sounds fantastic. How did you get an invite. Is it worth asking P&O.
terry99 Posted October 2, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 2, 2012 Our invitation was by unsolicited letter with colour leaflet showing what to expect. We were able to choose between 3 ships (each a different date). It was for 4 people so we took 2 friends who hadn't cruised before. I don't know how they select invitees (we had cruised with P&O before). I guess it may be worth contacting the Marketing Dept.. Terry
dorsetlad Posted October 2, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 2, 2012 If you telephone 0871 711 0258, you can ask for a visit. We did it last year when we wanted to visit Oceana. It might help to pick a particular ship, and say you are thinking of booking a cruise on her, but would like to have a look first. Brian

terry99 Posted October 3, 2012 #13 Share Posted October 3, 2012 The vouchers that we received were valid for any booking that we made within 3 months of the visit. The attendees were split into small groups, each allocated a guide, and after the tour, we all ended up in the MDR where we had lunch with wine. We thought that there may then be some sort of 'sales pitch'; but no: after lunch we were escorted ashore after a very enjoyable visit. magpieman Posted October 8, 2012 Author #14 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Just booked a tour and lunch on the Aurora, the car parking is free, we are looking forward to it. Where's the best place to stow away?
