Has anyone used metro pcs on Valor?

I believe it will be like any other cell phone. Once you get away from shore, you lose the cellular towers and your phone moves the the Cellular at Sea tower. They add their own charges to your bill. Most people put their phones in airplane mode so they don't get texts, emails, calls, etc when it's going to cost a small fortune.

 

If we have to call, we wait until we get to a port and pick up a local cell provider tower which if you have turned on international roaming should save money.

 

I'm sure someone will say, that's not what happened to us, but that is our personal experience.... Have fun, technology free!

Has anyone used the following service while on board and has no problems with service? Looking to find out if any of these sevice work while on board.

Metro PCS thanks

 

MetroPCS doesn't work at all since they don't do billing. No roaming available on any cruise ships.
