Rare cruisestitch Posted October 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Yes, you can book a Royal Caribbean cruise while you are on Celebrity and get on-board credit and also a reduced deposit amount is required and there may also be some stateroom upgrades, depending on what you intend to book. Freecall Posted October 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2012 When we did this it was as if we were booking an X cruise, made no difference at all.
KeywestK Posted October 9, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2012 We booked our X cruise while on an RCI sailing--no problem. And we'll do the exact reverse when we're on the Eclipse this winter. We were able to get more OBC this way than we would have if we used our shareholders benefit, so for us it was a good choice.
gkny Posted October 9, 2012 #7 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Everyone is correct. It does seem like we do get more future obc than being shareholders.
labatsman Posted October 9, 2012 #8 Share Posted October 9, 2012 We booked our X cruise while on an RCI sailing--no problem. . We did the same thing last month on RCI and received an OBC for X
Xcitdcruiser Posted October 10, 2012 #9 Share Posted October 10, 2012 I understand the it depends on the sailing, but how much OBC can one get? There was a recent offer by X that offered $300 OBC - would it top this?

There was a recent offer by X that offered $300 OBC - would it top this? When we booked our Eclipse cruise while we were on Liberty OTS, X gave us $300 OBC, for the 14-night cruise. If I had used my shareholders OBC, it would have been $250. Since we can no longer combine those bennies, I went with the better offer.
