Crowne Plaza Rome - St Peters Hotel and Spa

Has anyone stayed here before? We are considering booking it pre and post cruise through NCL. How close is it to the Vatican and Coliseum? Good location? It has a shuttle service to these attraction, did you use it? Thank you for any replies:)

This hotel is really in the suburbs, even though the mailing address is Rome. It's two miles from the entrance to the Vatican Museums, a little more than two miles from St. Peter's, and four and a half miles from the Colosseum.

 

You can absolutely do better (price and location) on your own, rather than booking through the cruise line.

There are posts here on this board from people who have stayed here etc. if you do a search,but as Euro Cruiser has noted you are really not central to anything..lots of walking is all.Check out Venere.com for hotels in other locations and check out this board for lots of hotel rec's from other posters.
