We have a free companion cruise(visa pts.) for an upcoming allure cruise....paid $50 more for companion to upgrade to bal. Will both get cruise credits(double for dec.) We did get the d+ discount because one was paying full fare.

Yes, we've used the Visa points for "free" fare before, and have always upgraded, so have had to pay extra. As long as you are paying extra, you get the C&A points.

YES! We used ours for our Allure cruise last October, but we cashed in our 125,000 points for the "free" cruise, and upgraded to a balcony. We now are back up to over 80,000 points and will save them until we reach the 125,000 and probably go back on either the Oasis or Allure.

 

We have also cashed in 50,000 points for $500. off a cruise, and 15,000 points for $150 off a cruise (done this twice). We always pay off the card every month so no interest.

thanks for the answers,because we had 1 paying passenger I thought we would...we also pay ours off every month...was going for the 2 free but some were expiring this summer and since we are doing a 14 day ta this spring didn't know if we would have time and take a chance and lose some points....for the points(or$750obc)we had to pay $50 and got 2 on bal. on allure for $899+tax...sweetO:)
