Mike Bayona is the Lead Casino VIP Cordinator. You can call him at 1-866-672-2582 Ext 70367 or e-mail him at www.oceanplayersclub.com

I would suggest that you ask for confirmation in writing if he offers anything.

FYI We have booked on the Casino rate for our next cruise. DW and I both get $50 casino cash and nothing else because it's the casino rate.

We booked the casino rate as well and were promised (but never got) the deluxe package as well as $250 in casino cash

But to reach the 1500 points required to receive the "drinks on us card" a person has to risk a good sum of $$$. $2.50 played in slots equals 1 point, so to reach 1500 points, you must put $3,750 at risk. Free drinks are definitely not free.

I never knew how people got the drinks on us card so easily until me and my wife parked our butts at one single game all week long and pretty much kept even for the most part.I played BJ a couple of times and won so I decided we will mess around with pennies alittle.I wound up getting 65 free spins on a slot and about $200 so we played it all and I think that round we wound up with almost 1000 points on a $20 bill that I started with

Yes, I have done the same thing, but the $$$ were still put at risk, either mine or theirs.

That is the KEY... theirs! Hard to do sometimes though.

We play in a casino a couple of times a week so we know which games usually "let you play" and games that are hard to get the bonus but when you get it its usually really good. The game we played(money storm) was just giving us good wins and then taking us back down then back up.We had alot of coin in so our points added up quickly

That might be true but you could also get to 1500 points by spending 1 cent of your own money to start with if you were lucky enough and kept winning. That's what scares many people on here when they think they have to actually spend $3750 of their hard earned money.

I just make sure I get my casino cash which is never a problem. I don't drink wine, found the strawberries nasty I couldn't even give them away and stay on lido so fresh fruit is a short walk.

Found booking the casino rate is always a guarantee to be on the list for free cash.

I just called Michael today and got a very strange response about our upcoming cruise. I told him that we got the casino rate and he told me if I qualified for anything I would get it on the ship. I asked if he can look it up and see if I qualified for anything and he wouldn't he just said they don't do that anymore, and you qualify off your play on the ship. I was told last time it depends on what you have done in the past. Has anyone else been told this?

Thanks

I would guess seeing how the OP said "the night before" that they meant debarkation instead of embarkation.

I can see that now.......thanks for clearing that up....

I can see how some would look at it that way, I just don't.....I take about $100 a day to play with and it's money that I plan to actually lose....when the machine is paying me back credits I consider that their money....I usually "bank" their money, then a couple of times during the day/evening I will cash out 1/2 of my banked money to pay against my S&S card, then play the other 1/2 on $1 or $5 machines.....

It's not uncommon for me to have my On Us card no later than Tuesday on a 7 day cruise and to me I've only spent a couple of hundred bucks.....even though I know that it's total coin in that's counting toward your points......

Though, it really doesn't seem possible that I'm actually betting $3750 in that short amount of time.

Last cruise I had 6000 points and my friend 8000 points. Called about my next cruise and offered $100. Seems that $15000 in play would warrant a bit more...ah well. Haven't been to Wynn in two years and just got an offer for two nights in a suite two show tkts and two buffets. The room is normally $499/ night. That is an offer. Gambling on my next cruise will be minimal atbest.

I will tell you that on the Imagination I did not get the package that was promised to me by Michael until the last night and only because of the Casino Host, but quite honestly, I didn't care.. Did have a copy of the email with me, never took it out, never begged for the package or anything else.

I will tell you that I had one of the best Casino Hosts ever, Mirriam, who kept reminding me to get my money from the Cashiers Window. I always hold out on getting that money until/unless I really need it..

Day 2 into the cruise (this was only a 3 day cruise) Mirriam asked me if I had gotten my bon voyage package from the Casino and I told her no.. She very nicely yelled at me why didn't I tell her, I should have gotten it etc... I told her it was no big deal.. That night at dinner I got a bottle of wine courtesy of Mirriam :)

The next and last day onboard Mirriam showed me an email she had personally sent to Michael telling them that I didnt get anything to the cabin. They sent a reply back telling her I should have gotten it.. Not 2 minutes later while talking with Mirriam, a lady from OPC in Miami called her asking her "whats in the package that Mrs ***** is suppose to be getting"!!!! We were laughing so loud...

That last night, I did go back to my cabin to find chocolate covered strawberries, a bottle of wine and a box of Bon Voyage cookies. Took home the wine and cookies and went out into the hallway and gave away the strawberries!!!

Oh, and I did pick up my money from the Cashiers Window :) Cruising again in January... can't wait to see what happens this time... But seriously, if I get money from the Casino, I dont care if I get anything else... guess thats just me...

That's my point too......I cruise 3 or 4 times a year and usually accumulate 5000+ points each cruise and drop easily $3500+ dollars a year in the casinos.....but the most I've ever gotten as cruise cash was $75, the occasional bottle of wine and always strawberries.....I get the photo coupon but give it away since I don't buy pictures.........

I feel like I spend a lot.....but to my surprise there were 2 women on the Quick Hit machines that mid way through the cruise were already over 12,000 points............

Thats the reason I no longer bring 10 grand to gamble like I used to. Carnival still doesnt get the point that the gamblers are a huge part of their revenue.I think we may try NCL word is that they treat gamblers really good

My friend that I went with is 7 Stars with Harrahs ($500,000) in play each year. Since Harrahs and NCL are partners she gets free cruise offers all the time but hasn't ever used one. NCL is much more aggressive when taking care of heavy players.

Yeah Im diamond at Harrahs and black card for Borgata and im sure NCL will treat us better regarding gambling

Jackpot. Total coins in the slots is the key. If you start with $100-$200 of your own money, win some lose some, the points add up. Not like you have to bet $3,750 of your own $$$$.

My issue with this is, CCL no longer offers the "drinks on us card" for cruises of 5 nights. I also get my points (usually night 2), but no advantage to get points on these cruises, unless I'm actually winning.

I was on the phone forever today with the Players Club. I cruised on the Magic in April 2012, racked up 4700 points, and I cruised on the Triumph in September, only had 2300 points. Even though I've been on two cruises for a total of 7000 points they would not use the Magic points, Marttie told me they can't jump cruises..... they have to rate you on your last cruise. So, before I cruised on the Triumph I had called and they said I had enough points to begin the free drink program (5000 points they'll start you out with free drinks on the next cruise) but the 6 day and fewer cruises don't have the drink program. It makes me so mad that I don't qualify for the free drinks on my upcoming cruise in February 2013. The Players Club with Carnival is not very good at all. It really needs to be changed. I think I just might have to switch to NCL.:(:(:(:(:(:(

Just last year they went back 2 years. It sux that now they go by your last cruise only. To me what difference does it make if its a 3 day cruise or a 7 day cruise. To me, the shorter cruises saves them money since your not getting free drinks for 4 extra days. If you bank that number of points in 2 days, you should qualify. In May on the Destiny (5 day) my friend got the card on day #2 and she's not a drinker. I wish she drank Bud Light but she's a frozen drink kind of girl :(

Well, like I've said on other threads....I'm pretty much DONE with the whole On Us program.....I'm going to go back to playing a couple of machines....going to the bar for a drink.........play another couple of machines, and repeat.........I think my gambling money will last longer, rather than sitting through a 45 minutes wait (which is on the low side of average these days)...to get my FREE drink, while I've burned through another $50 or so..............
