Cancelled Cruise?

Is it possible with platimun protection insurance that we could get our money back for the cruise if we cancelled a day before because of the weather. Just wondering, thankyou

 

You wouldn't get your money back if you cancel for "any reason" with Princess's insurance. You would get future cruise credit.

 

In the event that you choose to cancel for a reasonnot authorized above or for a reason that is otherwise restricted, at any time up until departure, and you have purchased Cruise Vacation Protection, Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours will provide you a cruise credit equal to 75% (100% if Platinum Vacation Protection was purchased) of the non-refundable value of your cruise vacation prepaid to Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours, for your use toward a future cruise.

I'm on the 4 day and would LOVE to just stay docked in NY. Hope it happens!

 

I am guessing they wont keep you docked unless they absolutely have to, then they lose revenue on the casino and shops.

 

If I had to make a prediction, I would guess they take you reaalllllly far out east to get away from the storm, and then back Weds after the worst is over, though up north could be an option depending on where the storm hits (right now its projected to make landfall around delaware/pa.

This is going to be a great cruise.... Hope your all ready for the Halloween fun, and adventure always provided on Princess Cruises.

Remember CP will be departing from Red Hook...so don't let the taxi driver leave you off in Manhattan...that would be upsetting .

With the expected storm surges, winds,etc the ship would be smashed to pieces if left at the dock. You wont be sitting at the port for 4 days.
