Six of one, as far as I'm concerned. When you get to the fares page, it's easy enough to add in taxes and get the total. However, as my TA points out, taxes on a particular cruise can change over time, so keeping track of base fare changes for cruises I've already booked requires subtracting out the taxes...which is no big thing, either. (Princess always did include port charges in the quoted fare.)

I'm of two minds on this. I do like seeing the total price when I'm on the Princess site, but it makes it a little harder to compare prices with other sites. I know it just takes the extra time to add the taxes on, in my head, but it is an extra step to take.

 

I wish all sites would do this, then it would be easier to compare.
