Love.II.Cruise Posted November 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2012 We are going on the Transatlantic from Barcelona to Miami. We do not want to pay extra fees to play in the casino. I'm assuming the casino will only take US dollars... or will it be Euros? I do love to play craps and ironically since I've learned how earlier this year I have yet to lose (and usually end up 5x my initial buy in). Of course now that I've said that publicly that streak is over. :) There is a Craps table on Marina & Riviera, but not on the two smaller ships. I don't play the game myself, but I understand that they only play the simplest version at present ; which is to say "single odds". Not looking to get rich - just "waste" a few hours rolling dice and chips around. :D On another note - how is the scene at the casino? Many of Oceania's cruises are VERY port intensive, and on those cruises you can expect a very quiet casino. Cruises with more sea days, or a "been there, done that" itinerary such as the Caribbean might see more action. The ship charges for a conversion of Euros to Dollars or Dollars to any other currency.The rate is usually 5%. You would do better to get Dollars at your home bank. Only one sea day but that'll probably be the day I "try my luck". :) Either way, we don't typically stay up very late on ships as we are worn out by the end of the day.
