Rare steve4031 Posted November 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2012 After reading about the delay to the legend because of fog in Tampa bay, I'm curious if this happens in Jacksonville. I know the ship had to deal with tides, etc. if this is the case it's better to book a later flight.
iloverags2 Posted November 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2012 We don't get fog nearly as often as Tampa, but we do encounter it from time to time - yesterday morning being one of those times. I believe it was after 9 a.m. before it cleared up. So, while we don't see fog as often as Tampa, it can be a problem.

And since Jacksonville is also along the Gulf it might be better to book a later flight.
AdrenalineRush Posted November 4, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2012 In Jan the ship didnt arrive into port until almost 1030 due to fog, so Im sure lots of people missed flights, we couldnt board until almost 130. It does happen from time to time.
flamomo Posted November 4, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2012 NO, Jacksonville is NOT on the Gulf of Mexico ...... it's on the Atlantic side of Florida!!!

Rare steve4031 Posted November 5, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted November 5, 2012 I'll take that into account and book a flight for the next day. Why stress out if something happens to go wrong.
