Desperate for Bears-September

We are booked on the last/repositioning cruise in September. The thing I would like to see more than anything else would be some bears. Can anybody tell me where would be the best place (I know it’s not guaranteed) to stand the best chance?

Thanks for any replies in advance.

PS - Sorry if this has been answered before. I did do a search but nobody seemed to cover it so late in the year.

Most likely you are too late. Peak ends beg. of Sept. Any bear watching on the Inside Passage will require a tour. Later in the season, like August, inquire directly from venders what the trends are? It's possible but a low sighting percentage out of Haines. Ketchikan and Juneau will require fly ins.
