cruise kitty Posted November 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2012 Hi, I would love a report from anyone on a Europe Itinerary on Thanksgiving Day... especially in Blu... we've cruised most Thanksgivings, but they've been short 7 days out of U.S. ports on other lines... wondering if they observe or not considering it's not out of U.S. Thanks in advance!! Lizzyanne Posted November 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2012 Hi we were on solstice for Thanksgiving last year but not in Blu. As we are British we were not sure what to expect but it did seem low key. The stars and stripes were on display and there was an ice carving of the American Eagle in the buffet. Grand Epernay restaurant had Thanksgiving items on the menu along with other choices.NFL Thanksgiving Football was to be shown in Celebrity Central reception permitting. I have just read through "Celebrity Today" for that day and apart from it being noted "Thanksgiving day" there was no mention other than the football. We sailed at 1pm after the morning in Venice, it may be different if you have a full sea day.
cruise kitty Posted November 18, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted November 18, 2012 Lizzyanne, thanks for your reply, we are scheduled to be in Kotor that day, with sail away at 8:00, so I would imagine it'll be very low key. Thanks again!
