Allure: any laundry facilities i.e., ironing

I thought I read somewhere that there are no laundry facilities on the Allure...does anyone know? New to RCL and wondering about ironing our stuff. Thanks all

There are no self service laundry facilities on any RCI ship. Here is a price schedule for sending items out to be laundered/dry cleaned. Having items pressed only is 1/2 the laundry cost.

I have tried the shower/steam thing that people always suggest and it has never worked for me. I purchased a mini steamer over the summer from HSN (or something like it) and it has worked great. Heats up in 30 seconds and it comes in a travel bag about the size of a make-up bag. I think I paid about $20 for it and I take it EVERYWHERE! I just love it!! The name brand is "Joy Mangano". (someone famous??)

Our experience has been that wrinkles are caused by clothing moving around in your luggage during travel so we started to use magellan packing cubes - Walmart.com

We have had clothes packed up for more than a week prior to boarding the ship and once unpacked are 98% wrinkle free. After hanging for a day, they look as good as they did when they left home. :D

When packing the cubes/folders can be weighed prior to placement in luggage to insure that you are not overweight. It's much easier to remove an item from a cube/folder than it is from a case that is full of neatly rolled and folded clothing, the heaviest of which is usually on the bottom.

If your luggage is fortunate enough to be inspected by TSA, going through cubes/folds is much neater than rummaging though neatly rolled and folded individual items.

I put multiple items on one hanger - layering with dry clean bags as needed. Place clothes in suitcase unfolded. Put other 'stuff' on the clothes and fold the bottoms over the tops (with the hangers). DH's dress shirts may get a long wrinkle or two - Downey wrinkle release works OK for those. Most of the 'stuff' is in packing cubes or tubes. This makes unpacking really easy.

And packing to go home even easier!:p
