Boarding ship without all passengers

Celebrity has collected money for the cabin. That's all they really care about; their bottom line is actually less since they have collected for 2 passengers and only have to pay your room and board.

 

I would do the courtesy of letting them know the other person won't be sailing when you check-in. But messing with your payment, Express Pass, etc. ahead of time simply runs the risk of unwanted attention or unintended consequences.

 

I've traveled extensively and learned it's better to ask forgiveness than permission. :D
