paixful Posted December 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2012 we are on an NCL cruise departing Miami Dec 30th with ports in Ochos Rios, Cozumel, Great Stirrup Cay, and Georgetown. My 5 year old really wants to go in the water with dolphins but all of NCL's excursions say they must be 8. Are there private places at any of these ports that would let a 5 yr old go in the water with dolphins with my husband or I? Thanks! PS this is our first cruise so i apologize if this is a dumb question :)
Sauer-kraut Posted December 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2012 I would scroll down to the PORTS OF CALL boards, about 2/3 the way down the main Cruise Critic page, there you will find information on each of the ports you are visiting and can get ideas of private tours and other options available. Good luck.

Rare mitsugirly Posted December 9, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2012 Of course. Do it on your own in Cozumel and spend a wonderful day at Chankanaab National park (normal admission is $21 pp but it comes with the price of the dolphin swim if you are going to do that). Here are 2 reviews that I did from March and September. We did the dolphin swim on the September one with our then 3 year old. It was the highlight of her cruise. She still talks about "Foxy dolphin". My 24 year old daughter did the Royal swim there this past March when we went at had a great time too. Here is my review from last September: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showp...0&postcount=59 We did the dolphin swim, which included the swim with the manatees: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showp...7&postcount=65 Here is my review from last March: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showp...0&postcount=48 Let me know if you have any questions. At the end of each review is a link to additional pictures. :)
