NYE on Seadream?

We have been on SD for two Thanksgiving holidays in a row, same for at least two Fourth of July holidays. They have done them up nicely without over doing it for non-US passengers. We have seen them do several birthdays and anniversaries and those celebrating raved later about how well they were treated. We, too, are eager to learn more about New Year's Eve as we have that booked a year from now between Costa Rica and Panama. We will be transiting the Panama Canal on New Year's Day and spending NYE in Panama City. We have spoken to several who have been on board for Christmas and they were very laudatory about gifts, decorations, celebrating with staff who are away from home, etc.

We have done Easter holiday/Spring Break and would not recommend it unless you love kids running wild. We boarded 2 days after Thanksgiving one trip and had one of the very best trips. Great passenger mix, great weather, and no kids.:D Have had one in our party have a birthday on board and the response from SeaDream was fabulous. Special mimentos, letter from the Captain, "balooning" the stateroom and even more attentive service from the crew. Do let them know if you have a special event while on board. They really make it special for you.

I've done two birthdays in the Caribbean and 4th of July in St Petersburg, Russia. Birthdays were great with the cake and all the balloons and stuff in the room. As well as having special friends to celebrate with and special attention from crew, etc (hard to get more than you normally get!). 4th of July was low key because we had many other nationalities on board. American burgers, hotdogs and fries were the lunch feature.
