Paradise Beach to El Centro?

How far is El Centro shopping area away from Paradise Beach? How much/how long of a cab ride would it be?

 

DW and I want to do a beach break for 1 or 2 hours(not big beach people but want to experience the beach) then go shopping and exlpore El Centro.
