Ozzmund Posted December 31, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2012 My wife and I are trying to decide between the Hampton Brickell or the Intercontinental for a pre-cruise one night stay. We will be arriving around noon on a Friday, and would like to do more than sit by the pool. Mobility is no issue, we have been to Bayside on a previous visit to Miami. Any thoughts? miamiyogi Posted December 31, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2012 My choice is Hampton Inn, for the simple fact that it is in an area that is much more fun than the IC. Its also newer, and transportation options are a super short walk away. If you miss the bayview from the IC, get a cup of coffee in the morning and take a walk on Brickell Bay Drive, awesome sunrises. The IC though IS a four star hotel, and I give them huge props on the new high tech lobby. Cheers! Yogi

travelprincess 123 Posted January 4, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 4, 2013 Stayed at the Hampton Inn in November before our cruise. Was a great stay and a great area. I would pick the Hampton Inn.
jarrettdad Posted January 4, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2013 The IC is a four star and can be had for around $125 a night. That's hard to pass up for us
calliopecruiser Posted January 4, 2013 #9 Share Posted January 4, 2013 The Hampton Inn is about the same price as the Intercontinental (at least for the dates I looked). I'm sure it's a good (3 star) hotel in a good location, but for the same price, I'd take the 4 star Intercontinental. It's still a Hampton Inn, and it would take some savings over a 4-star hotel before I'd choose it.
Rare Keith1010 Posted January 5, 2013 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2013 Either one is a good option. Intercontinental is nicer and more of a full service hotel. Hampton Inn includes Breakfast. Keith
