Transportation Recommendations - Seward to Anchorage

We will be completing a 7 day cruise ending in Seward on the 7th of June in Seward. Our flight is from Anchorage so we need some recommendations for transportation between Seward and Anchorage. We have plenty of time as our flight doesn't depart until 11:00 PM the evening of the 7th. So we would have time to either do a direct shuttle to the airport or enjoy a scenic tour option with the transportation.

 

Are there any recommendations for this?

We took bought tickets for the train. We did not do the Goldstar Service, just the regular. It was wonderful. The scenery was beautiful. We picked up some sandwiches and drinks but you can buy food on the train too. The rail car has a student in it telling you history and what you are looking at. There is an upper level glass dome you can go up and view from as well as going outside to view. I would not go any other way. We are going to again this year but ending up in Whittier instead. We are taking the train again from Anchorage to Denali and then from Denali to Fairbanks to fly home. I am looking forward to the train trip as much as the cruise! Your options are:

- Train. Very scenic but arrives too late for your flight (6pm - 10pm)

- Bus. Park Connection Bus (10:30am - 1:30pm)

We are using Whittier Shuttle for our cruise in May. I believe the cost was $30/person and they are picking us up at the cruise terminal and dropping us off at the airport. Google for their website.
