lisatx04 Posted January 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2013 I booked our upcoming FOS cruise directly with RCCL. I am curious to see if the price has dropped since booking. Do I call RCCL direct or can I use their website? We have 2 rooms across the hall from each other. Also, please explain about price drop. I have not paid in full as of yet so if the price drops, can I get the cheaper fare or do I have to be paid in full? Thanks!

Just do a "mock" booking online -- make sure you are pricing the category that you have already booked -- if you do see a price drop in that category just call RCCL and give them your res# and inform them that there is a price drop for that category -- price drops should be adjusted up until final payment date, but you have to call RCCL -- they will not automatically drop the price. Goes Cruising Posted January 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2013 It is so worth your time to keep checking. I have saved over $600 on our next cruise, and we are still 2 months from final payment date!
Guest maddycat Posted January 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2013 Check for price drops daily. Some price drops show up and disappear with in a matter of hours, some with in a day or 2.
kc320 Posted January 3, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 3, 2013 It's a good idea to check every day....sometimes more than once a day..I've seen price drops in the morning that were gone a few hours later...

Kartgv Posted January 3, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 3, 2013 And, don't forget that it's the final payment DUE DATE that matters. If, for any reason, you pay in full prior to the actual due date, and the price then drops, you will still be able to claim the lower price. Most people don't pay early, but we did it for the 1st leg of a B2B because we didn't want to push the limit on our credit card. Sure enough, the price dropped right after we paid and we got a huge credit back.
