I was getting very frustrated trying to rent a car for our upcoming POA cruise, but after scouring these boards I came across a corporate code for Thrifty that gives a HUGE discount, and can be used as often as you need to.

I got my best prices on car rentals in Hawaii by booking through Hawaii Cruise Ship Car Rentals, using the corporate discounts they provide. It may be the same as those listed above. They also give very clear descriptions for each island of the rental car options, shuttle availability, etc.

We used this website, just sent the ship itinerary and they made reservations for each port. It was not the same company for each port (Avis in one Thirfty in another). They used codes for each port and got us great rates.

For the ports we did not want a car, we just cancelled.
