Oasis of The Seas and Fort Lauderdale

Apologies if my first post here is a little boring. I just wanted to ask a question regarding the port in Fort Lauderdale and The Oasis of The Seas.

 

We are trying to book a hotel for the Friday night before our cruise. Does anyone happen to know if The Oasis of The Seas docks and departs from the same pier each time, or does it change?

The Oasis and Allure only tie up at Pier 18. That is the pier that the Port authority remodeled specifically to service these two ships.

I did look on the Port Everglades website today and noticed she is sailing from Pier 18 this Saturday, and figured a ship of that size would probably go from the same pier each time. You've put my mind at rest. Thank you.

The Oasis and Allure both sail only from Pier 18. We're sailing on the Equinox soon and it will sail from the same pier as the other ships won't be in port.

If the reason for asking is proximity to the pier, pretty much all hotels are within a close taxi distance to all the piers; including the ones (both hotels and piers) that are the furthest. Find a hotel that suits your budget and preferences, and don't worry about distance. BTW, some hotels may have shuttles that will take you to the ship, you might contact them to see if they do (the Crowne Plaza did the last time we stayed there, but you will be constrained by availability, and a taxi ride from that point is less than $10 - not counting tip).

If you are looking for a hotel, Courtyard Marriott or Raddison is right around the corner. If you are looking for transportation, Jiffy Jeff Transportation is awesome. Jeff is fantastic and the cost is very reasonable $8 a person in a huge mercedes van.

Embassy Suites is also very close and they have free shuttle.
