Cabins above casino - noisy mistake?

We had balcony cabins above the casino on the Dream a couple of years ago. I do not care for the smell of smoke and never noticed it in any of the cabins (4 of them). We also did not hear any excessive noise. We are booked on the Breeze in June for the same set-up and hope we have the same experience.

Truthfully, if you are even a bit worried about the noise or smoke, I would call and switch your cabin. Even a cabin over the shops would be a better choice, as they close way earlier than the casino. They are the same price and CCL will switch your cabin without any problem, as long as it is in the same category.

As I learned from painful experience, you REALLY want to avoid a cabin right above the casino bandstand. The noise was so loud it sounded like they were right in our cabin, and it went on till the wee wee hours. I would totally avoid being over any part of the casino just to be sure.

cabins on the even side above the casino should not be a noise issue.

and if you are getting smoke issues from that area please'let the pursersmdesk know because thatnshould not be happening.

if you are on the odd side of the ship above the casino area there is a band that sets up across from the casino bar...avoid those cabins at all costs

That is exactly what we had. Now we are booked on the Lido deck. I've done that before on the Magic so I have no worries at all.

Thanks everyone for your input!
