publix or walgreens near ft lauderdale airport to pick up some, wine, water, and soda

I am sure the cab will drop us off and wait while we go somewhere to stock up on some necessities to carry on board, flying in from jfk, anyone know the nearest, best place to get some of these items, thanx...:confused:

As is discussed almost every day on this board, the Publix and Total Wine stores on 17th are the best shot.

You can pre-order your purchases at the Total Wine web site and they will be waiting for you at the customer service desk; fast in-and-out will save you cab waiting time charges. ;)

Publix and Total Wine are just outside the pier area, but distance will depend upon which ship you are on and which terminal -- I would not try to walk it but instead ask the cab driver to stop (he'll be happy to keep the meter running :rolleyes:) on your way from FLL to the port. Good luck! :)
