For those who say they've done it, where EXACTLY do you go once you get near the ship? It can't be inside the terminal, because you can't get thru the door.

 

Perhaps Carnival (and other cruise lines) have an "office" in the port that you would go to rather than the actual pier. Especially since, depending on what port you are at, there could be multiple Carnival ships in port that day.

Where would it be? What would identify it? Is it in a separate building?
