Oceania Air question.

I am pretty sure I can guess the answer, but I thought I would ask anyway.

 

Do BOTH pax have to purchase air? DH has to be in Europe sometime before or after our June sailing, and if he goes pre cruise, he will do what he needs to do there, and then we will meet in Rome day before sailing. His company will pay for his ticket, I will buy mine.

 

Right now I have it on my booking that we are doing our own air. Air out of MEM is I think the most expensive in the US, and O's air is potentially cheaper, even with the deviation fee.

 

Just trying to figure out what to do.

 

I use itasoftware for searching.

That's an interesting question. My immediate reaction was "no problem" because the deviation fee is per person, so why not? Then I had a momentary hesitation.

 

However, on your invoice you are billed separately, so I don't see why one person can take the "free" air and the other person waive it.

 

I guess you TA or Oceania is the best source for a definitive answer.

 

I'm sure you aren't the first people to be in this situation.

I had the same thought process as you. I will ask TA tomorrow, but thought I would post here today in case someone had first hand experience.

 

I will post my answer when I get it for anyone who might like to know the answer.

TA just let me know that I could book just one passenger's air if needed.

 

That is excellent news, should I need to go that route.
