You are correct. We purchased it in August on the Dream and had to buy on board.

Only on the ship. But do yourself a favor.....don't go to the table in the atrium with 50 people in line. If I'm not mistaken, you can buy it at ANY bar. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......that line was brutal. However, I was able to consume a DOD while waiting.:D

Are you sure this is true? I saw someone say one time that this isn't true. Last cruise we purchased as soon as we got onboard. I don't remember any taxes at all.:cool:

It is DEFINITELY true. Taxes while still in port - once the ship leaves, then no taxes. So have a DOD and wait for the ship to leave. Then go to any bar!

You can purchase this on ship OR from Bon Voyage dept. I have done so before. I called BV dept and bought the sticker. There was a letter in our cabin saying we bought the sticker from BV dept and to go to the Casino bar with the letter. We did and all was fine.

We bought ours ahead of time for our cruise's last May and October on Glory. Had to go to the coffee bar to pick the stickers up. They had the list of who had prepaid there. Got them when we got onboard.

I have been trying to find where to purchase this on the Carnival website and I can't find it anywhere. It looks like we will have to wait until we are onboard. I was just trying to keep the bill at the end of the cruise as low as possible. Thanks for all of your answers!
