It is sad Mr. Pete, but I'll take it.:D This was the More the Merrier rate, which is the bare bones, for a cove. Never did a cove. It would be $100 more for a standard balcony, but for 8 days, that averages out to $90 a day per person, on a brand spanking new ship. She just looks SO nice. I have only been on the Sensation and the Pride. This would be a nice change. The kicker NOW is the damn airfare. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Yes, I am excited they lowered the rate. I just sent in my ES form for the price drop. We also have a cove for 3 people. We are using the More=Merrier rate for the match. That is a good chunk of OBC. Hope you decide to book and join us. If you do book, check out our roll call.

We sailed the Breeze in the Med back in October. It's a very nice ship and I would sail it in a heart beat but I'm too lazy to drive all the way to Miami. I'm sure you will enjoy the ship.

That's a pretty good rate for the eight day :thumbup:. We are paying $649pp for the six day in a cove.

You ask for a Cove Balcony. It is category 7C, I think. Regular balconies are category 8A and up. It is cheaper than a regular balcony. There are some great pics on zydecocruisers page.

we're sailing on July 6 in a cove balcony. Booked it for $1400 pp. Now it's going for $1800 pp. Like somebody said earlier, it just keeps going up!! I guess no OBC for us!!

We had a cove on the Dream, but I have no pics that would really show it well. I took many pics FROM the balcony, but not OF the balcony. As for the room, well, I don't recall it being any different than a regular Carnival balcony cabin.

 

But you can, however, go to YouTube and search for some cove balcony video that shows the room well. I loved it, and wouldn't want anything but a cove if ever given the chance again. They give you the best view of the sea that you can get on that class of ships, versus the others that are looking down to the lanai. When I buy a balcony, I want to look down and see water, not a deck! Ok, I'm off the soapbox now... :)

 

Oh, and to the OP...congrats on the price drop. Ours dropped as well by $60 PP for the residence rates we got on the Valor.

Thanks for the heads up! I had checked the rates earlier, but as others said, they can change several times a day. I am on the April 13th cruise as well. We have 4 in a cove and it just dropped to match my current casino rate. My in-laws have a spa balcony and their rate dropped $420!!! Man I hope ours goes down further. I sent their form in so if it goes through like it should, I should be their favorite DIL/TA!!:D

Some thing is out of kilter here. I just got off the Carnival "SALE" web site (last day) and the cheapest rate for a 7 day, Balcony cruise on the Breeze is $1,998 + $215.28 for a total of $2,213.28. (2 persons) That's the Florida resident rate and all the other categories that were offered were higher. Divide by 2 and that's $1,106.64 for a person. Where are you getting your figures?
