poodlephish Posted February 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2013 I have been in recent discussions with Jon of BR Tours in Iceland for tours on both days we will be there. The itinerary info is listed below. Note there is not a long stay at Blue Lagoon, i.e. for swimming/ bathing, etc. The cost would be $160 per person total (roughly $93.37 for the Golden Circle tour, and $66.67 for the second day). Will need to get 12 people to sign up to get this price - our party currently has 4. No vested interest other than seeing the sights, so if you're interested, email jon directly re Subject: Larry - RCL Brilliance of the Seas 8 - 9 Sept 2013 - Reykjavik email: jon@brtours.is BR TOURS Itinerary for Sept 8 - 9 2013 for passengers traveling on Brilliance of the Seas, ETA Reykjavik 8am Sept 8, ETD 5pm Sept 9, 2013 Sept 8: 08:30 Departure from quay 09:15 Visit to Thingvellir National Park and UN World Heritage Site, where you can see the diverging tectonic plates, the Eurasian plate and the N-America plate. 11:00 Geysir hot spring area, watching the spouting hot spring Strokkur (the Churn) 12:00 Waterfall Gullfoss (The Golden Waterfall) and simple lunch in the restaurant there 14:00 Skalholt historical site and espiscopal see 14:40 Volcanic crater Kerid 15:00 Eldhestar horse farm: A short introduction to the Icelandic horse 16:00 Visit to the Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant, where we see how the geothermal power is utilized for generating eclectricity and space heating. 17:00 Tour of the city of Reykjavik 18:30 Back to the vessel.
