Tours by Locals

Has anyone used a guide from ToursbyLocals? I realize it depends on the actual guide you book with. We disembark the morning of 3/18/13 in Rio and our flight departs in the evening. We are considering a city tour with Tours by Locals and then go to the airport. That way we can just keep our luggage in his/her car. What do you think?

I would say "Go for it". We disembark in Buenos Aires and have arranged to be picked up from the port and do a day tour with 'Tours by Locals'. Apart from maximising your limited sightseeing time, it provides you with an interpreter and some security.

Definitely use Tours by Locals. We have used them in Shanghai and Hong Kong. We encountered only one issue and that was lack of communication with the Hong Kong guide. Make sure you have a meeting place in advance or have cell phone availability. We had neither and lost two hours of shore time. TbyL management is very accommodating and helpful. Have fun!
