only1deejay Posted February 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2013 Alot of cruise lines offer these cheaper since the ship has to go meet up to it's next arrival point...does disney offer these?? i don't see them on disney.com thanks.:)
momto3gr8boys Posted February 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2013 They do have repo cruises (TA and the Panama Canal and then upwards towards Alaska and back again). However, I don't think these wind up being as much of a "deal" as other lines. With only four ships and limited itineraries, they can still get away with higher fares. cyclenut Posted February 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2013 We have done the southbound repo from Alaska sailings and it was less expensive. The 2012 version was 6 nights for a little over 1200 for two. At $100 a night per person, that was a steal. As for finding them, they are listed bUt you have to know what you are looking for. To and from Alaska is listed as pacific coast, for example.
vakamalua Posted March 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2013 We're doing the 14 day repo Panama Canal cruise in May on the Wonder (Miami to LA). Got a great deal--$2800 for two for a VGT, that's a guaranteed verandah cabin although we won't know the exact cabin until about two weeks before the cruise. The prices on the Transatlantics in 2014 are also good.
DISNEY FANTASY Posted March 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2013 The Panama cruises are really great, I have done two with the Disney Magic and one on Princess, really enjoyed them and were good value.
chipq Posted March 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2013 The Canal trips are twice a year. In late spring to get to the Alaska itineraries and in Fall to get back for Caribbean itineraries. Similar for trans atlantic trips. Once in a while there are some very good deals to be had but you have to know when and where to look when you search the DCL site. The Panama Canal itinerary is incredible. http://luv2cruise.blogspot.com

vakamalua Posted March 15, 2013 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2013 What a great deal that is! When did you book it? Just wondering how to snag one! :) We booked the May 6 WBPC on January 27. The GT rates are offered after the 'Paid in Full' deadline so it is difficult for people already booked to take advantage of the lower fares. Im on the same PC cruise. I booked an ocean view Gty. The cost was 950. ish. It will be my first disney. I like casinos, so i have never booked disney before. Great! Come join our active group on the disboards. As empty nesters now, we also miss a casino on DCL. See you on board.
Ginamarie Posted March 17, 2013 #10 Share Posted March 17, 2013 We love repo cruises for this reason. Usually a 2 week cruise doesn't cost much more than 1 week. We are currently booked on the 2014 Westbound Transatlantic and cannot wait. We have previously sailed DCL for Transatlantic and Panama Canal repo cruises in addition to the regular 7 night (non repo) itineraries. If you look on the website under Panama Canal or Transatlantic, those are all repositioning cruises.
