Taxi fair Miami Airport - port of Miami

Hi,

 

Can anyone inform me about the fair for 4 persons from airport to the port?

 

The cruise line offers it for 60$.

 

Here in Europe a taxi ride would cost almoust the same, but I guess(hope) that in the US the fairs are cheaper:)

From MIA airport to POM is a flat rate fare of $24+tip fo rthe cab - not per person like the cruiseline charges. The drive takes about 15 minutes. :cool:

Taxis are a set rate from MIA to the Port of Miami. $24 for up to four people with luggage + a small gratuity.

How easy is it to get a taxi after cruise from POM to MIA?

can I bank on getting one for 4 or should I set up a shuttle?

No issue with cabs - never had to wait longer than a couple of minutes.:cool:

 

If you have lots of bags and need a van or SUV cab you may need to wait a couple of minutes. Taxi fare is fixed - $24+tip for the cab; shuttles will charge you per person and the total for 4 will be at least double the cab fare.

Sorry -- never been to see a game in Miami. I will see the Marlins opening day when they play the mighty Washington Nationals.

 

I travel to Miami occasionally for business and not often enough for cruising and have never had an issue hailing or calling for a cab -- those drivers go where the money is. ;) I have had several bad experiences with Philly cab drivers :mad:, but you should be used to that.

I live about 20 miles outside of Philly-only time I go into the city is to see a Phils game-not a big fan of the city-the Nats could be the team to beat this year-Phils are getting old-window is closing-
