What time can we board?

We are sailing on Regatta departing Buenos Aires on March 6. Does anyone know what time we will actually be allowed to board? Some lines will allow boarding before the published time.

On Page 4 of your Cruise Vacation Guide (the Blue Booklet), you will find the recommended boarding time for your cabin category.

This is usually a fairly good indication of when you will actually get on the ship, because it estimates when the ship will be "passenger ready".

Eighty percent of the time, the ship will have arrived in port on the same day that you are sailing, and they need time to disburse the previous passengers and make the ship ready for your group.

If the previous cruise has overnighted in your Embarkation port, as sometimes happens, then you might chance getting to the pier an hour or two earlier, but otherwise the Guide is a fairly accurate barometer.

Jim,

The infamous "blue book" has now been replaced with a beautiful covered booklet with a pocket on the back inside cover that contains your luggage tags. The description at the bottom of the cover says "Cruise Vacation Guide" "Official documents prepared for" and then the sailing individual names.

See, it has been too long since you and Stan sailed with us.
