gigi1313 Posted February 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2013 and what is the best way to find them? My dates are flexible, but dh will only agree to an "extra" vacation if its a bargain! :D
C&THollings Posted February 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2013 I have seen pack and go rate when your closer to cruise time. If you have a PVP, I would suggest you give her/him the dates to watch for you.
lgsshedden Posted February 22, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2013 there is a pack and go rate but usually Carnival looks at its bookings and posts its sales and offers well in advance to ensure each boat sails with a full compliment: best offers are usually about 6 months ahead of peak season i.e. June/July and the best deals are on those ships with most remaining capacity -- the more popular the cruise/ship, the less discount they have to offer. Early saver rate ensures your spot on the cruise of your choice, at a discounted rate and then you can take advantage of any discounts if and when they apply to your cruise. Colorado Kat Posted February 22, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2013 I think you can sign up for pack & go notices.
Carnival_Brides Posted February 22, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2013 Pack and Go stopped existing December 3rd when they introduced the new rates. Now you should look for Instant Saver rates.

gelo7 Posted February 22, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 22, 2013 If the ship isn't sold out, last minute deals will be available.
carhopsrock Posted February 22, 2013 #9 Share Posted February 22, 2013 Last year my best friend had a vacation planned in the Pigeon Forge area that started on a Saturday. There was a bad storm that came thru at the beginning of the week and caused major damage. He canceled his reservations on Friday and booked a cruise on the Fantasy leaving the next morning. I know he got a great deal.
