Does Carnival offer lat minute rates?

there is a pack and go rate but usually Carnival looks at its bookings and posts its sales and offers well in advance to ensure each boat sails with a full compliment: best offers are usually about 6 months ahead of peak season i.e. June/July and the best deals are on those ships with most remaining capacity -- the more popular the cruise/ship, the less discount they have to offer.

Early saver rate ensures your spot on the cruise of your choice, at a discounted rate and then you can take advantage of any discounts if and when they apply to your cruise.

Last year my best friend had a vacation planned in the Pigeon Forge area that started on a Saturday. There was a bad storm that came thru at the beginning of the week and caused major damage. He canceled his reservations on Friday and booked a cruise on the Fantasy leaving the next morning. I know he got a great deal.
