Puerta Langosta to Chankanaab or other snorkling beach.

Is it possible to cab from Puerta Langosta in Cozumel to Chankanaab national park? I am looking for a place to snorkel (will bring my own gear). I get really paranoid about not getting a cab back to the cruise. Any suggestions. I really didn't find much I like through the cruise line.

No admission fee and closer to your pier and there will be taxi's waiting. If not the staff will call for one.

Cabs are not an issue anywhere in Coz - and I second the vote for the Money Bar! Great snorkeling, great service, and good food and drinks. Good luck! :)

We also arrived at Punta Langosta pier last week and took a cab to Chankanaab. It was 22 $ one way for all passengers, no fares per person. It was very easy to get a cab back to the cruise ship pier because there were numerous waiting outside the park bringing people back to their ships.

Hmm, I'm not sure why it cost the previous poster $22 for the cab ride, it has always cost us $15 and we were just in port 2 months ago. The price actually goes down with more people.

 

But anyhow...it's REALLY easy to do this. We've done it twice and the system they have at Chankanaab is top notch. They actually have a turn around area at the entrance and someone checking in each cab (we actually left a bag in the cab we took there and they were able to locate it and get it back to us). The cabs are parked in the parking lot next door (so they do not tie up traffic in the turnaround area) and they all have walkie talkies. The guy at the front will call them to come over. We were some of the last to leave the park and still tons of cabs in the lot. NO worries.
