Possible to visit Torndirrup Park on our own?

Visiting Albany via Dawn Princess in Oct. is it possible to get to the park without doing a tour?

You could hire a car in Albany. It's an easy drive. Have a look at Google Maps for Albany, Western Australia. Several stops along the way and end up at the old Cheynes Beach Whaling Station that you actually sail past (from a distance) as you enter King George Sound from the ocean. Good to be up on deck from a good 1.5 hours before arrival.

As you arrive at the dock - look up on the hill - Mt Clarence - you will see a memorial to our fallen troops - also a good place to visit for panoramic vistas and a small military fort/museum nearby.

Albany also has a 1 hour mini bus town tour operating from the shuttle bus drop off.
