Sofa bed on Celebrity Silhouette

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have experience using the sofa beds on the Silhouette? We took a guarantee this time and we seem to get different answers from the website/call center. We are in cabin 8120. Is this a pull out sofa for two people or a sofa/trundle combo, or a pull-man. Our last experience was on the Solstice and it had the trundle style and a pull-man. We have two teenage children who are not thrilled about sharing a bed.

They may not like this any better. First of all, how tall are they? Are they young teenagers or older? The trundle isn't very big, and both it and the sofa are fairly hard -- there are egg crate mattress pads that will help, but it's going to be uncomfortable. And crowded.

Have a look at this thread:

Look for a stateroom with a fold out sofa bed and an upper berth. That would probably be much better for you. Those are the rooms with the square and the triangle on the deck plans.

Thank you for the replies. This was the first time we booked a guarantee and so we were unable to choose our stateroom. In the past, when we selected our cabin, we did choose a cabin with a sofa and upper berth. :) Hopefully, this time we will at least have the trundle. Our daughter is 5'2" so I guess she will get the trundle and her "little" brother will get the sofa since he is much taller. Thanks again for the photos and advise. If anyone else has info about this cabin we would love to hear your tips and advise.

Very often with a guarantee, you can switch to any available room in the exact category. Why don't you try calling Celebrity or your TA if you used one and ask if there are any that have both an upper and lower berth? I think everyone will be happier.
